Couples looking for a charming escape

The breakfast was out of this world! Freshly cooked every morning, with amazing choices-couldn't start the day better! Lyn and Bob made sure we felt at home right from the start-greeted us with tea and lemon drizzle cake, such a sweet touch after a long drive.

It wasn't overly expensive, but you do get what you pay for-worth every penny.

Spotless place with particularly good view over Stratton village. Wonderful and outstanding rooms with separate bathrooms and an electric kettle and glassware. Great very central location and amicable and lovely staff. Plus, 5 minutes drive from Geoclastica. Really had fab stay for a wedding.

The breakfast at Oak Lodge was a feast fit for a king-full English, good omelettes, and fresh juice every morning. Lynn and Bob's warm welcome with tea and lemon drizzle cake was the cherry on top-talk about starting your stay on a sweet note! Plus, the room was super clean and cozy, cleaned daily with fresh towels.

Sure, there's nothing to dislike about this place, but if I had to nitpick, the only downside was we didn't want to leave-it sparkled in every way!

the attention to detail in the room was amazing. the main road does have some noise.

Delicious breakfasts and fine views

The clean and bright room was awesome and having tea with lemon drizzle cake upon arrival was a lovely touch. The breakfasts were excellent, beautifully laid out and cooked fresh to order every morning. It's worth noting that although the walk to Bude took about 30 minutes, it was a pleasant stroll. A slightly larger parking space would have been helpful.

Breakfast was amazing, but we felt the parking could be a bit tight. Still, the warm welcome was a sweet touch!

The bedroom was spotlessly clean with fine countryside views, and the garden provided a nice spot to unwind.

While the cleanliness was great, parking could be a bit tight, especially during busier periods. The noise levels, particularly from the nearby A39 road, might disrupt those looking for peace and quiet-nobody wants to hear traffic while trying to relax. The steep stairs could pose challenges for some, especially if you're not nimble, and the absence of air conditioning can lead to uncomfortable heat during the warmer months. Some guests mentioned that there was a lack of dining options nearby for evening meals, limiting your choices after a long day. A few minor oversights like slight noise and limited accessibility options should be noted.

The room was immaculate and spacious, providing fine views over the surrounding countryside. The breakfast was a beautiful feast, offering an excellent selection of fresh fruits and cooked-to-order hot dishes.

Parking can be tight.

Our stay was amazing-immaculate rooms, amazing views, and breakfast that was superb! Only downside was tight parking, but it didn't detract from our enjoyment.
